A rags to financial independence story himself, Allen began his Real Estate career in Chicago in the early 1980's. After quickly losing interest in the typical new Realtor activities, Allen went to work with a Real Estate Broker named Gary Furstenfeld, who became his mentor. He sums up his experience with Gary by quoting Napoleon Hill; "If you feed a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man how to fish, you feed him for life!"

With guidance, direction, and Allen's own persistent aggressiveness, he earnestly carved his way into the vast opportunities of dealing with foreclosures, and bank-owned properties, and motivated sellers . His activities ranged from counseling people in foreclosure, (helping them save their equity)  to purchasing property at auctions, from banks, and motivated sellers using cash and creative financing techniques.

Having performed tens of millions of dollars in Real Estate transactions and owning several million dollars worth of rental homes and apartment buildings, Allen continues to invest creatively, producing win / win scenarios for himself, sellers, and buyers.

Allen expanded his abilities and services in 1991 by starting a real estate brokerage business and developing his niche market in the Realtor Industry by focusing on marketing properties in foreclosure, and bank owned properties.

Allen is co-owner of a real estate brokerage company headquartered in downtown Homewood, a south suburb of Chicago, Illinois, named Blue Diamond Realty, Inc. His partners and Co-Brokers of that office i Bruce Sonnenberg and Mark Groble. Allen is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois and Indiana. His services presently cover the 5 county area around Chicago, Lake, and Porter counties of Northwest Indiana.

Allen is a family man and enjoys his beautiful wife, and 3 sons the oldest Chris, is now a partner on several deals. He is also very active in his church where he serves in the Young Men's organization as Scout Master, and as a Home Teacher. He loves participating in sports such as racquetball, basketball, paintball, Scouting and sports with his boys, He is the Porter County Special Olympics Sports Boosters President, and loves playing baseball and softball.
