Researcher’s visit the Clerk of the Circuit Court in each of the peripheral counties, The Federal Building, and the Chancery Division at the Daley Center on a regular basis to research all the information on every mortgage that has a "Lis Pendens", "Notice of Sale" or "Auction results". They then cross-reference
that information with the Tax Assessors information to make sure you have
the property address, characteristics, current owner, and all the
information you need to pursue the best foreclosure leads for a below
market purchase. You can act now quickly on hot leads instead of spending

Report of Chicago & Suburbs
Some spaces may be left blank if the information was not
available. All dollar amounts are shown rounded off, except per diem figures.
All sales are subject to continuance and/or cancellation. Whenever possible, we
will publish those continuances and cancellations.
Street Address-- of the mortgaged property
Town or City, Zip-- of the mortgaged property
Property Classification-- Current use of property plus the number of units or stories or the year built, when available.
Current Owner-- Name of the current owner of the property (also includes attorney's file when available)
Service Address-- Location where owner was served with foreclosure lawsuit, or owner's mailing address. This can be different
from the address of the property if the property is not owner occupied.
Foreclosing Lender-- the mortgage company that filed the lawsuit.
Lender's Attorney-- the attorney handling the foreclosure for the mortgae company
Attorney Phone #--- the telephone number for the foreclosing attorney's office
Original Indebtedness-- Original mortgage amount
Year/MTGE Type/Interest Rate-- Interest rate is listed when available.These are the types of mortgages listed. The year of the mortgage is also listed here:
Document #-- Location of mortgage in Registrar or Deeds.

Balance Due-- Fore new cases, this figure represents the outstanding principle balance, and does not include costs of foreclosure
such as filing fees. For notice of sale entries, this figure is usually the judgment amount.
Per Diem Interest-- Daily interest charge for the loan.
Date of Calculation-- Date balance due was calculated.
Case #-- Number assigned by the court to the foreclosure suit.
Prior Mortgages-- A foreclosure may occur subject to a preexisting mortgage(s). This category notes those prior mortgages.
Some mortgages reported here may have been paid off.
Subsequent Encumbrances-- Liens on the property such as Federal or State tax liens, judgments, property tax liens, trust deeds,
etc., filed prior to the foreclosure suit, but after the mortgage was recorded.
If nothing is indicated in this category, there may be claimants who were not known to the foreclosing party at the time of the suit. There may be unknown claimants who have an interest in files after the suit.
